What is an ArtPrintz fine art limited edition print?

We produce archival giclée pigment prints on acid free, premium grade 100% cotton rag fine art paper.

All prints sold from this website are printed from ultra high resolution images of original artworks painted by hand by the artist, or of an original work of the designer.

Ans we don’t print thousands… or even hundreds! When you buy from ArtPrintz, you will know that you have a rare, quality artwork. Once the edition has been reached, the image will be retired and there will be no more printed.

All artwork series have an edition of just 25 across all available sizes.

What about authenticity?

Every limited edition ArtPrintz print will be accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity with the edition number and artist’s signature.

How long will my print last?

An unframed ArtPrintz print, displayed in an album or archival box could last hundreds of years. Once professionally framed and displayed using UV filtering glass or acrylic and hung in a stable environment out of direct sunlight, your print can be kept in pristine condition for many decades.

How should I handle my fine art print?

We recommend the following precautions when handling fine art prints:

  • Keep handling to a minimum.
  • Where possible, use cotton gloves to avoid the absorption of oils and/or marks from your fingers.
  • To avoid damaging the printed surface, do not place the printed side face down on any surface or object.
  • Do not expose your print to extreme temperatures or humidity.

How can I flatten curled prints?

To ensure your print arrives in perfect condition, we ship all prints larger than A3 rolled in a tube. If you are having your print professionally framed, you do not need to do anything – delivering the print in the original packaging is the safest method.

If you need to flatten a curled print yourself, follow these instructions:

  • Prepare a flat, smooth, hard work surface free of all debris, grit and dust.
  • Wash and dry your hands thoroughly. We strongly recommend the use of cotton gloves if available.
  • Starting at the edge closest to you, and keeping the tissue paper used during shipping in place, roll the print in the opposite direction to the curl. Be careful not to roll it too tightly or you may damage the print.
  • Place the rolled print back into the shipping tube.
  • Allow the print to sit. The amount of time required will generally be one to five hours, depending on ambient temperature and humidity.
  • Remove the print and unroll it image side up onto a flat surface.
  • With the tissue paper covering the printed image, place a few smooth, flat, heavy objects on the ends of the print. Let the print sit for another few hours.
  • Remove the heavy objects. If your print is still is not flat, let it sit with the heavy objects holding it down for another couple of hours.

What should I keep in mind when framing my print?

  • We highly recommend conservation framing for your print, either float mounted or mounted with a window mat using quality archival materials for hinges, mats, backings, spacers, as well as UV protected glass or acrylic. This will improve the long term archival properties of the print.
  • Do not spray mount or use ordinary tape to adhere the print to a mounting board – the adhesive can cause damage to the paper.
  • Image and paper size information provided is approximate and should not be solely relied upon for framing or other purposes. Please measure your print once you have received it.

How should I store my print?

Long term storage of unframed prints should be controlled for both humidity and temperature. Ideal conditions are 15-30 degrees and 30-55% relative humidity.
